STOP200
Description
A two component putty based on acrylic emulsion resin and powder.
Recommended Uses
• For filling hairline cracks, blow holes, voids, and surface discontinuities in concrete surfaces and also for binding both new and old concrete elements.
• Also to provide a highly adherent waterproof layer suitable to be applied on both new and old concrete substrates, masonry roofs, facades, balconies, and underground surfaces affected by constant damp.
• STOP200 provides the treated concrete substrate a flexible waterproof layer that is suitable for potable water storage tanks, reservoirs, towers, water retaining structures, swimming-pools, sewage treatment plants, and water channels.
Notes:
1- If higher flexibility and better waterproofing properties are required, it is recommended to use STOP200 Flex.
2- If a fast setting repair mortar is required it is recommended to use STOP200 Extra.
3- If a highly flexible waterproof coating suitable to be applied in high coat thicknesses is required it is recommended to use Flexcoat.
Features
• Highly resistant to water leakage, suitable for water retaining structures and for protection of concrete surfaces exposed to constant damp.
• Excellent adhesion on concrete, asbestos, tiles, etc….
• Provides protection from corrosion of reinforcement, as it prevents penetration of carbon dioxide and chlorides into the substrate.
• Good flexibility, no shrinking is observed.
• Good resistance to compressive strength.
• Non toxic, suitable for use on potable water storage tanks, reservoirs, towers, etc….
• Allows water vapor to escape from the structure, the concrete will be able to breathe.
• Excellent resistance to the effects of ultra-violet light, weathering and atmospheric pollution.
• Can be applied to areas subjected to light foot traffic (2mm thickness at least).
Application Instruction
• Method of Application : Brush, floor trowel, or wide bladed putty knife.
• Mixing Ratio : (by weight):Application:Brush/Powder:5/Water:1 to 1.2/Resin:1 Application:Trowel/Powder:5/Water:0.6 to 0.8/Resin:1
• Mixing : Add the desired amount of fresh water, according to the method of application, into component A (powder) and mix thoroughly using a slow speed mixer. Then add the entire contents ofcomponent B (resin) 1kg slowly from the plastic bottle into the mixture and mix slowly in order to ensure that auniform consistency is achieved.
• Pot life : 1 hour (higher temperatures will shorten the potlife sharply).
• Thinner / Cleaner : : Clean applying tools immediately after application is completed by water
• Application Temperature : 5-40?C.
• Note : When recoating, a special attention should be given toward drying time.

• Color : White, gray.
• Volume Solids : (mixed)80% (ASTM-D2697).
• VOC : 0 g/L (ASTM-D3960).
• Flexibility : Good.
• Adhesion : Excellent.
• Recommended film thickness : 0.5 mm (brush) and 1mm (trowel).
• Theoretical spreading rate : 1.6 m²/L at 0.5 mm “dry”.
• Specific gravity : “dry” 1.51 kg/L (ASTM-D1475).
• Water resistance : Excellent.
• Abrasian Resistance : Excellent.
• Number of Coats : 2
• Packaging : Component A (powder):5 Kg in paper bag Component B (resin):1 Kg in plastic can
Surface Preparation
Coating performance is, in general, proportional to the degree of surface preparation. Surface must be clean, undamaged and free of oil, grease, and other contaminants prior to coating.
Remove fins, protrusions, and other loose material with a scrapper, sandpaper, or wire brush.
For best results, surfaces should be damp but not wet prior to applying STOP 200.
Deep Applications: For applications greater than 3cm, STOP200 may be extended up to 50% by weight with a clean, 10 mm pea gravel or aggregate. Aggregate must be well-graded, saturated surface-dry, and added at initial mix.
Drying Time
• Note : 7 hours, and 24 hours prior to exposure to water. Drying time can be affected by many factors such as temperature, ventilation and coat thickness. Higher temperatures will shorten the drying times.
Storing Conditions
• Store component A (powder) in dry conditions in the original and unopened paper bags. Avoid powder to be exposed to high temperatures and high humidity conditions. Component B (resin) must not be allowed to come into contact with metals that are likely to corrode. Containers must be kept tightly closed. Exposure to strong heat and frost must be avoided.
• Shelf life is two years from packing date in unopened original containers at 10 to 40°C. Containers should be kept tightly closed.
Safety:
Avoid skin or eye contact. Prolonged contact may cause irritation of the skin and mucous membranes.
