| Coating performance is, in general, proportional to the degree of surface preparation. Surface must be clean, dry, even and free of dust and other contaminants prior to coating. Previously Painted or Primed Surfaces: Prior to applying Jupiter coating, ensure that the coated or the primed (with Jupiter E5) surface is clean, dry and free from oil, grease, dirt, salts, and any other contaminants. All blistered and loose paint must be removed. All bare areas must be primed. Glossy surfaces should be roughened before recoating. Be sure that Jupiter E6, E7, E8 adheres well to the existing coating prior to application to ensure good adhesion properties.
| | |
| • Dry to Touch : | 30 minutes (ASTM-D1640). | • Dry to Handle : | 4 hours “minimum recoat time” (ASTM-D1640). |
| | |
| • Jupiter E6, E7, E8 must not be allowed to come into contact with non treated metals that are likely to corrode. Containers must be kept tightly closed. Exposure to strong heat and frost must be avoided. • Shelf life is two years from packing date in unopened original containers at 10 to 40°C. Containers should be kept tightly closed. Safety: • Avoid skin or eye contact. Prolonged contact may cause irritation of the skin and mucous membranes.
