Description
Oil based wood stain.
Recommended Uses
Staining natural wood in order to achieve the desired color.

Application Instruction
• Method of Application : brush, rag, or conventional spray.
• Mixing : Stir well before application in order to ensure that a uniform consistency is achieved.
• Thinner / Cleaner : Thinning is not required. S501 thinner is used for cleaning.
• Note : 1- When recoating a special attention should be given toward drying times. 2- Temperature of substrate should be at least 3°C above dew point to avoid moisture condensation during application.

• Volume Solids : 5 % (ASTM D2697).
• Flexibility : Fair.
• Recommended film thickness : 10 microns "dry".
• Theoretical spreading rate : 10 m²/L at 5 microns "dry".
• Specific gravity : 0.95 Kg/L (DIN 51757).
• Water resistance : Excellent.
• Abrasian Resistance : Fair.
• Number of Coats : 2 or more to obtain the desired color
• Packaging : 1 L in metal can.
Surface Preparation
Coating performance is, in general, proportional to the degree of surface preparation. Prior to applying Wood Stain, wooden surfaces should be clean and dry. The loose fibrous material found on weathered wood should be removed by sanding, either manually or by the use of a power sander, until a sound base is produced.
Note:
Moisture content of wooden surfaces should not exceed 16%.
Recommended System:
It is recommended to apply over Nari Wood Stain a sealer and / or a lacquer such as:
1- OMEGAN Sealer(2k) and OMEGAN Lacquer (2k)
2- NCL sealer / NCL lacquer
3- OD lacquer (mainly for exterior use)
Drying Time
• Dry to Touch : 10 minutes (ASTM-D1640).
• Dry to Handle : 24 hours “minimum recoat time” (ASTM-D1640).
Storing Conditions
• Wood Stain has to be kept in a cool and well-ventilated place, protected from heat and direct sunlight. Wood Stain is classified under highly flammable materials.
• Shelf life is 2 years from packing date in unopened original containers at 5 to 40°C. Containers should be kept tightly closed.
Safety
• Well-ventilated conditions should be provided during application.
• Do not breathe or inhale mist.
• Wear air-mask and avoid skin or eye contact.
