| Water-base putty based on emulsified polyvinyl acetate resin. | | |
| Used for filling cracks and scratches in concrete surfaces in high thicknesses. | | |
| • Dry coat thickness up to 5mm may be achieved in only one coat application. • Easily laid and sanded. • Short drying times, reducing overcoating times considerably. • Can be applied to vertical and overhead surfaces without slumping. • Excellent adhesion to concrete substrates primed by water based primer. • No harmful vapors and scents are present (makes it easy to use and to apply in confined areas). • Suitable to be topcoated by water-based or oil-based paints.
| | |
| • Method of Application : | Wide bladed putty knife. | • Thinner / Cleaner : | In general, there is no need to dilute. Clean applying tools immediately
after application is completed by water.
| • Application Temperature : | 10-40?C. | • Note : | • When applying a second layer of WT02, a special attention should be given toward drying times. Be sure prior to application that the first layer is cleaned from sanding dust. |
| | |
| • Color : | Ivory | • Volume Solids : | 51.6 % (ASTM-D2697) | • VOC : | 0 g/L (ASTM-D3960) | • Flexibility : | Acceptable | • Adhesion : | Good | • Recommended film thickness : | 1-5 mm “dry” | • Theoretical spreading rate : | 0.52 m²/L at 1 mm “dry” | • Specific gravity : | 1.78 kg/L (ASTM-D1475) | • Water resistance : | Good | • Number of Coats : | 1-2 | • Packaging : | 25 Kg in plastic pail |

| Coating performance is, in general, proportional to the degree of surface preparation. Surface must be clean and free of oil, grease, and other contaminants prior to coating. - Uncoated and clean substrates: It is recommended to apply WT02 on primed surfaces with WT01 or WT05. Surfaces affected by a constant damp (such as cellars) should be treated by STOP200 or STOP200 F (refer to its technical leaflet). The primer should be left to achieve a tack free condition prior to applying WT02. Be sure primer (WT01or WT05) is clean, dry, and free of oil grease and other contaminants when WT02 is applied. - Previously coated substrates: WT02 can be applied over old coatings (water based or oil based). Old coatings should be clean, abraded and coated by WT05 coat. Application of WT05 over oil based coating is highly recommended in order to insure higher adhesion of WT02. Note: WT03 can be applied over WT02 in order to achieve a smooth surface; also WT03 can be applied instead of WT02 in areas where high thicknesses are not required.

| • Dry to Touch : | 20 minutes (ASTM-D1640). | • Dry to Handle : | 1 hour “minimum recoat time”(ASTM-D1640). | • Note : | Drying times can be affected by many factors such as temperature, ventilation and coat thickness.
“Higher temperatures will shorten the drying times”.

| | |
| • WT02 must not be allowed to come into contact with non treated metals that are likely to corrode. Containers must be kept tightly closed. Exposure to strong heat and frost must be avoided. • Shelf life is two years from packing date in unopened original containers at 10 to 40°C. Containers should be kept tightly closed. Safety: Avoid skin or eye contact. Prolonged contact may cause irritation of the skin and mucous membranes.
