5- Excellent weather resistance.
Application Instruction
• Method of Application : Conventional spray.
• Mixing Ratio : (by volume) Comp. A Comp. B Thinner(S507“known as Acrysol”) 2 1 0.8 Stir well individual components before mixing.
• Pot life : 4 hours (higher temperatures will shorten the potlife sharply).
• Cleaner : Clean applying tools by S501 or S502 cleaner.
• Curing : The reaction between SRT Clearcoat (2k) components can not be guaranteed unless a temperature of at least 10?C is maintained for the mixture and the substrate until complete curing. Temperature of substrate should be at least 3?C above the dew point to avoid moisture condensation during application
• Note : Coated surfaces by SRT Clearcoat (2k) should not be exposed to water, chemicals, or mechanical stresses before it is fully cured.
Technical Information
• Component B : SRT Clearcoat drier
• Recommended film thickness : 40 microns “dry”
• Abrasian Resistance : Excellent
• Chemical Resistance : Excellent
• Solvent Resistance : Excellent
• Number of Coats : 1 – 2
• Packaging : Component A 1 L in metal can Component B ½ L in metal can
Substrate Treatment
Well-prepared-surfaces is an essential condition of coating successfulness. In general, surface must be clean, dry, undamaged and free of all contaminants prior to coating.
Surface Preparation (repair area):
Prepare surfaces in accordance with application instructions for the suitable Basecoat being used (BAS Basecoat).
Allow BAS Basecoat 30 minutes at 20°C to flash. Be sure that surface is clean and free of oil, grease, and other contaminants prior to applying SRT Clearcoat.
Apply SRT Clearcoat immediately after surface preparation to prevent any contamination.
Sanding:
If required, remove spraying dust with 1000-2000 grit treated sandpaper. When sanding, a special attention should be taken toward dry to sand condition. If required, apply a low pressure mist coat to sanded areas.
Drying Time
• Dry to Touch : 20 minutes at 20°C.
• Dry to Handle : 4 hours at 20°C and 45 minutes at 60°C (in spraying booth).
• Note : Drying times can be affected by many factors such as temperature, ventilation and coat thickness. Higher temperatures will shorten the drying times.
Storing Conditions
SRT Clearcoat is classified under highly flammable materials. Containers must be kept tightly closed in a cool and well-ventilated place, protected from heat and direct sunlight.
Shelf life is one year from packing date in unopened original containers at 10 to 40°C.
Safety:
Well-ventilated conditions should be provided during application.
Do not breathe or inhale mist.
Wear air-mask and avoid skin or eye contact.
