Road Marking
Description
Chlorinated rubber based road-marking coating.
Recommended Uses
Recommended for marking asphalt and concrete roads. Also can be used with glass beads to improve reflectivity without sacrificing other properties.
Features
-Excellent marking properties.
-Exceptional bond to asphalt and concrete substrates.
-Excellent abrasion resistance.
-Excellent flexibility.
-Excellent weather resistance
Application Instruction
• Method of Application : Conventional spray, brush, or with a special instrument.
• Mixing : Stir well before application in order to ensure that a uniform consistency is achieved.
• Thinner / Cleaner : S305 “known as RUB” is used for thinning and cleaning. Mixing ratio with thinner depends mainly on temperature and on method of application At 20?C: Conventional spray will need approximately 4 litre S305 per 25Kg ROAD MARKING.
• Application Temperature : 10-40?C.
Technical Information
• Color : White, Yellow, or against orders
• Volume Solids : 50 % (ASTM-D2697)
• Flexibility : Excellent
• Recommended film thickness : Concrete: 50-100 microns “dry” Asphalt: 150-250 microns “dry”
• Theoretical spreading rate : 5 m²/L at 100 microns “dry”
• Number of Coats : 1
• Specific Gravity (mixed) : 1.6 kg/L (ASTM-D1475).
• Packaging : 25 kg in metal can.
• Weather Resistance : Excellent
• Viscosity : 60-70 K.U. (ASTM-D562)
Surface Preparation
Well-prepared-surfaces is an essential condition of coating successfulness. In general, surface must be clean, dry, undamaged and free of all contaminants prior to coating.

New concrete and asphalt should be left for at least 30 days prior to coating.

Surface contaminated by engine oil may require a power washing procedure or abrading the surface before application of Road Marking.
Drying Time
• Dry to Touch : 10 minutes (ASTM-D1640).
• Dry to Handle : 30 minutes (ASTM-D1640).
Storing Conditions
-ROAD MARKING has to be kept in a cool and well-ventilated place, protected from heat and direct sunlight. ROAD MARKING is classified under highly flammable materials.
-Shelf life is two years from packing date in unopened original containers at 5 to 40°C. Containers should be kept tightly closed.

Safety:
-Well-ventilated conditions should be provided during application.
-Do not breathe or inhale mist.
-Wear air mask and avoid skin or eye contact.
