| FRANJI is a water emulsion acrylic paint. | | |
| As a finishing coat applied over primed and leveled concrete surfaces to give an economy flat finishing coat for interior and exterior use. | | |
| -Good flow properties.
-Provides a smooth flat finish.
-Economical, low material consumption rate and good hiding power.
-Good adhesion properties.
-Resistant to the effects of ultra-violet light and weathering.
-Good resistance to water and saponification.
-Short drying times, reducing overcoating times considerably.
-No harmful vapors and scents are present (makes it easy to use and to apply in confined areas).
-Suitable to be topcoated by water-based or oil-based paints.
| • Method of Application : | Brush, roller or airless spray. | • Mixing : | Stir well before application in order to ensure that a uniform consistency
is achieved. | • Thinner / Cleaner : | Water is used for thinning or cleaning. Mixing ratio with water depends
on temperature, method of application and substrate porosity.
When recoating, a special attention should be given toward drying times. | • Application Temperature : | 10-40?C. |
| | |
| • Color : | White. | • Gloss : | Flat (ASTM-D523). | • Volume Solids : | 49 % (ASTM-D2697). | • VOC : | 10.2 g/L (ASTM-D3960). | • Flexibility : | Good. | • Adhesion : | Good. | • Recommended film thickness : | 50-100 microns “dry”. | • Theoretical spreading rate : | 9.8 m²/L at 50 microns “dry”. | • Specific gravity : | 1.70 kg/L (ASTM-D1475). | • Water resistance : | Good. | • Number of Coats : | 2 | • Packaging : | 3.6L in metal Can or 18 kg in plastic pail or 25 kg in plastic pail |

| Surface Preparation: Coating performance is, in general, proportional to the degree of surface preparation. Surface must be clean, undamaged and free of oil, grease, and other contaminants prior to coating.
It is recommended to apply FRANJI on primed and / or filled surfaces.
Priming and / or filling: Prepare surface in accordance with application instructions for the suitable primer and / or filler being used (acrylic primer “WT01” and acrylic putty “WT03”). Be sure that all blow holes and defects are completely filled to produce a smooth, clean and level surface prior to applying FRANJI. When filling deep holes it is recommended to apply STOP200 (refer to its technical leaflet).
FRANJI can be applied to existing coatings. The surface of the existing coating has to be cleaned and abraded (especially when coating occurs over oil-based coatings). Be sure that FRANJI adheres well to the existing coating prior to application to ensure good adhesion properties.
| • Dry to Touch : | 20 minutes (ASTM-D1640). | • Dry to Handle : | 1 hour “minimum recoat time” (ASTM-D1640). | • Note : | Drying times can be affected by many factors such as temperature, ventilation and coat thickness. Higher temperature will shorten the drying time. |
| | |
| FRANJI Coat must not be allowed to come into contact with metals that are likely to corrode. Containers must be kept tightly closed. Exposure to strong heat and frost must be avoided.
Shelf life is two years from packing date in unopened original containers at 10 to 40°C. Containers should be kept tightly closed.
Safety: Avoid skin or eye contact. Prolonged contact may cause irritation of the skin and mucous membranes.
